Winter Blues with Happy Ending

Hi all!

I tend to write my posts mostly either in the beginning or the end of my adventures. In between I am normally too busy enjoying them or trying hard to keep my spirits up.

So here it goes. Another island, another good bye.

If some of you didn't know for the past 2 months I've been pouring pints and learning how to drive. I finally learnt how to make proper latte and although my driving test finished with examiner smiling at me and saying, sorry, this time is a no pass (bless him, he didn't want to say big F word..) I still felt a big relief.

I'm not particularly good with stress. Routine stagnates me. I used to think that I like being busy but with years I tend to grow into the person who is great at avoiding schedules or any hectic life responsibilities. Don't get me wrong, sometimes I need a routine so everytime I run away from it I know how to appreciate life without it.

I'm happy that place I worked at still has normal REAL customers, humble and sweet people who get paid for actual work not like some others signing papers and pretending to be better just because they sit in a chair bouncing numbers around the world. The place still has a character and unpretentious spirit. I hope those suited grumpy money makers won't even have an idea to change the place. Amen.

But life moves on anyway, and my wings are growing bigger and bigger for another adventure. What do they say, after hard work come delicious fruits, is this even an english expression, haha?

While I was busy pouring pints and pretending to be a safe driver Dom was building our home. Don't worry, we are not getting a house, careers and children. Ha, far from it! We are joining the rest of the world nomads living on the road in beautiful converted van, yay! And it is nearly nearly ready. Direction- snowy mountains :)

Snowboarding gear- checked, cans of food- checked, firewood- checked, excitement- checked, ferry tickets- checked. Well, I think we are ready.

Rock'n'roll baby!

P.S. We have one spare sleeping space for small/short people. Come and visit us! Even if you are not short or small ;)

Good times... Wish us powder!

Till the next one!
